Camden Schools Dance Festival brings together 300 young people from across the borough of Camden to celebrate their passion and enthusiasm for dance, presenting an eclectic mix of styles and music at The Place.
When: Monday 6 February, Two performances,
Time: the first begins at 1.30pm and the second at 6.00pm
Where: The Place
Seventeen groups of young dancers from primary and secondary schools and community groups in Camden, will perform their work to an audience of families and friends, representing the rich culture of the borough. Camden Dance Development Group, comprising of The Place, B-Better, Akademi, English Folk Dance & Song Society, The Surma Centre, icandance and London Borough Camden make this event happen each year, with huge support from host venue The Place.
The Festival is funded by London Sport which has enabled many of the young performers to work with professional dance artists from the Camden Dance Development Group partner organisations to prepare a dance piece for the Festival.
