Help Students Get Ready for Work Experience

Raise awareness of your industry, be a role model for young people AND help them prepare for their upcoming work experience with a day long employability programme at William Ellis School.

Date: 29/03/2017
Time: 8.30am – 3pm
Venue: William Ellis School, Highgate Road, NW5 1RN

Inspire!’s Get Ready for Work Experience programme prepares students for their work experience placements, enabling them to confidently undertake their placement and use their experiences to succeed in their future career plans.

You will support students to identify the skills and qualities required for the work environment and share your own work experiences to highlight employer expectations. You will lead the students through a combination of individual and group-work activities, including written worksheets, brainstorming sessions, discussions and presentations to improve transferable skills and equip students with the knowledge of how to make the most out of their work experience.

What you will gain:

  • An opportunity to enhance your public speaking and presentation methods
  • A chance to develop your leadership skills
  • Training in working with young people
  • An opportunity to share your personal career journey and prepare young people for work
