Apply now for the Donmar Warehouse Take the Stage and Schools' Performance Programmes

Donmar Discover programmes have just been announced for the next two productions, Teenage Dick and Far Away.

Schools’ Performances and accompanying workshops will be held for both productions. For Far Away, Donmar Discover will also be running its unique Take the Stage programme, with students working with professional theatre-makers to devise their own work for the Donmar stage. Applications for all three programmes close on Friday 11 October 2019.

Thanks to Donmar audiences and funders' generous support of YOUNG+FREE, the full programme is offered free to state schools and colleges.

The Schools' Performance Programme includes:

Up to two tickets to a preview performance for teachers bringing students to the Schools’ Performance.

An in-school workshop for students for all London schools with one of the Donmar’s expert theatre-makers.

A ticket to the production for up to 25 students per school.

A post-show discussion and Q&A session with the Resident Assistant Director and members of the company.

Take the Stage gives young people a chance to learn more about our productions. Over the course of a term they will work with professional theatre-makers to create their own piece of theatre, to be shared on the Donmar stage.

Take the Stage will be offered alongside Far Away. Through a series of practical workshops, students will investigate the themes of the play and the creative process behind the production, learning practical theatre-making skills and developing their confidence, both as a performer and an individual.
